Marvel Universe films have become some of the most popular and successful films in recent years, and with the success of each installment, fans are always eager to find out who will join the franchise next. From fan-favorite actors to newcomers, there are always rumors about who will be the next addition to Marvel’s ever-growing universe.
Rumored Cast of Marvel Universe Films
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been around for over a decade and continues to grow with each new movie, series, and comic. With so much going on in this world, there are bound to be rumors about which actors and actresses will join the ever-growing superhero universe.
Let’s look at some of the stars rumored to join the Marvel Universe Films.
1. Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson recently acknowledged that she’s open to joining her famous brother in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Wyatt Russell, Hudson’s brother, has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as John F. Walker, aka Captain America. The actress, most frequently seen in rom-com movies, is still open to playing a superhero in one of Marvel’s films.
While this rumor remains unconfirmed, there is no doubt that her Fabletics activewear line is one of the hottest on the market today.

2. John Krasinski
John Krasinski has become a fan favorite among those who remember him from his days on The Office. He recently joined Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan series on Amazon Prime Video, and now he may be entering another franchise—the MCU! He was reportedly offered a role in Doctor Strange 2, and fans are already speculating about what character he might play. Some think he could portray Stephen Strange’s old mentor Karl Mordo or Doctor Doom himself! Although we don’t know for sure what role Krasinski will take on if he joins Doctor Strange 2, we’re excited to see how it all turns out.
3. John Boyega
John Boyega, who many know from his role as Finn in the new Star Wars trilogy, is rumored to be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His name has been thrown around for a few different roles, including Doctor Doom, which would make him the first black actor to portray the villain in any Marvel studios. He’s also been linked to the upcoming Blade reboot, where he could play the titular character or his half-sister.
4. Henry Cavill
We have Henry Cavill, best known for playing Superman in the DC Extended Universe movies. Though he has not officially been confirmed as part of the MCU, there have been reports that he is up for a role in The Eternals. If he does join this franchise, he would be a great fit for the role of Ikaris, the leader of The Eternals.
5. Jodie Comer
Jodie Comer being cast in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was yet another rumor dispelled during D23. The Free Guy actress was reportedly cast in the next Fantastic Four revival, according to hollywoodreporter.com. Comer has been “ideal” for the character of Sue Storm, according to fans’ fantasy castings, which have been going on for a long. She may appear like the ideal candidate to many of her supporters, but that isn’t happening soon.
6. Daisy Edgar-Jones
The star of Normal People was not present at D23, nor was it revealed that Edgar-Jones would continue with the MCU. Cinema Blend claims that the actress can portray anyone, including Hepzibah, Lilith Drake, Queen of Hell, Angela, and even Thanos’s apprentice Supergiant. But for the time being, fans will have to wait to find out whether Edgar-Jones will be joining the franchise. Fans can cross their fingers for a surprise since the MCU has shown nothing, if not full of them.
7.Giancarlo Esposito
This specific fan casting has been circling on Reddit as well as other fan sites for some time, and when the news started to spread that Giancarlo Esposito was joining the MCU, fans began to assume that he would be cast as Professor X. Esposito’s casting was not announced during D23; therefore this did not turn out to be the case. Esposito is apparently in talks to join the MCU and play Professor X, according to dexerto.com.
8. Denzel Washington
Fans have chosen the Oscar-winning actor, who is worth $280 million, by the way, as the perfect choice to play Magneto in the MCU. According to giantfreakingrobot.com, Michael B. Jordan may have some knowledge about Training Day actor Denzel Washington’s future or at least his willingness to join the MCU. When asked if Washington would join the franchise, Jordan said, “No hesitation.” It’s interesting, but fans will have to wait and see if the celebrity will join the franchise. Washington himself said, “You better hurry.”
9. Simon Pegg
Simon Pegg was previously considered for the title role in Ant-Man by the MCU. However, Paul Rudd was cast by the studio, and he excelled in the role. Pegg reportedly told Screen Rant in 2018 that he wanted to portray Captain Britain, a fictional British superhero. Pegg isn’t well renowned for being a starring action hero, but Paul Rudd wasn’t either before joining the MCU. CinemaBlend questioned whether Pegg might join the franchise with the upcoming Secret Invasion.
10. Lana Condor
The most recent Fox X-Men films needed to offer Jubilee more screen time with Lana Condor. The MCU might fix this by bringing Candor back to the position. Jubilee, the X-Men team’s newest member, served as the character from the audience’s perspective in the famous 1990s animated series. Now that Jubliee and the other X-Men are owned by Disney and may be incorporated into the MCU, Condor has already made it known that she wants to resume portraying the role.
