Nick confirmed Aaron Carter’s death as he sent a heartfelt message on Instagram with the caption, “My heart has been broken today. My affection for my brother has never wavered, despite the difficulties in our connection.
Sometimes we want to blame a loss on someone or something. However, the real enemy in this situation is addiction and mental illness. I’ll miss my brother more than anyone could imagine.
I cherish you, Chizz. Now is your chance to experience the peace you have never been able to participate in on earth. God, look after my little brother.”
Nick and Aaron Carter’s Reason for Grudges
At the time, Nick claimed that his brother was “out of control” and needed help. He even went so far as to get a restraining order against Aaron, which prevented him from coming within 100 yards of Nick, his wife, and their children.
The brothers had a falling out in 2002 when Aaron was 14 and Nick was 22. The source of the feud is unknown, but it seems they have never been able to repair their relationship.
In a 2014 interview with “Entertainment Tonight,” Nick said that he had not spoken to his brother and wife, Melanie Martin, for “years” and that he was “sad” about the situation.
In September 2019, his brother – Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter- filed a restraining order against Aaron, citing his “increasingly alarming behavior” and his “recent confessions” of wanting to kill Nick’s wife – Lauren Kitt, as well as their unborn child.
In light of Aaron’s increasingly alarming behavior and his recent confessions that he harbors thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child, we were left with no choice but to take every measure possible to protect ourselves and our family.
We love our younger brother and truly hope he gets the proper treatment he needs before any harm comes to himself or anyone else.
