Emily Wickersham is an American actress. She is most recognized for her role as Special Agent Eleanor Bishop on American action police procedural television series, NCIS, where she joined in 2013.

Emily came from a multiracial ancestry, Swedish and Austrian, but is an American by birth. She attended Muhlenberg College but dropped out only after two years to pursue a career in acting in Los Angeles. Moving to a new place where she didn’t know anyone, she struggled a lot in her initial years. She joined acting and public-speaking classes to build confidence in front of the camera.

Soon, Emily was scouted by an agent and given several offers — opening the doors to the cinema for her. She made her acting debut in 2006, appearing on the Late Night with David Letterman show. In the same year, she was featured in Just Another Pretty Face. She also auditioned and bagged the role in the TV series, The Sopranos (2006) where she was introduced to the world.

In 2007, Emily made her film debut in the comedy-drama movie, Gardener of Eden — playing the role of ‘Kate’. Soon, she appeared in various other movies such as Gone (2012), I Am Number Four (2011) and Remember Me (2010). She also appeared in several TV dramas including Taking Chance (2009), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2009), and The Bridge (2012).
