Maggie Siff is an American actress famous for her roles in many television series. She is most recognized for her role as Tara Knowles in the high-rated crime tragedy television series, Sons of Anarchy, that aired for six years, from 2008-2014 — giving her two nominations for Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
Maggie was born and raised in New York. In 1996, she graduated from Bryn Mawr College with a bachelor’s degree, majoring in English. Soon, she enrolled at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and took up a Master of Fine Arts in acting.
Maggie started her acting career in the theatres. In 1998, she did a remarkable performance on the play entitled Ghost, written by a Norwegian playwright, Henrik Ibsen — winning her a Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theater.
In 2004, Maggie had her television debut, appearing in season 2 of Rescue Me. Soon, she starred in various other series including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2006), Grey’s Anatomy (2007), Mad Men (2007-2015), and Explained (2019). She also appeared in numerous films such us Then She Found Me(2007), Funny People (2009), The 5th Wave (2016), and The Short History of the Long Road (2019).
