Who Is Sela Ward?
There are just people who have the looks and talent to make it big as if they are always the right fit for particular roles. This fact is true in the career and success of Sela Ward. She got her first big-screen roles in the early 80s as she was cast in the films The Man Who Loved Women alongside Burt Reynolds and Nothing in Common with Tom Hanks. As she carried on with her career, it was on television that she would receive critical acclaim. Her acting as a free-spirited alcoholic in the TV drama series Sisters won her an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Still, her beautiful amiable face would land her other wife roles including that of Helen Kimball, the protective better half of Harrison Ford’s character in the Fugitive in 1993. Thus, it came as no surprise that other roles would come her way including that of Stacey Warner in the medical TV show House. She played the role of hospital attorney and Dr. House’s former love interest. Sela was sought for other roles which she turned down because she decided to give more attention to her family. Notable of these were those for lead roles in CSI: Miami and Desperate Housewives.
