Aaron Charles Carter was born in Tampa, Florida, on December 7, 1987.
His parents, Robert Gene Carter (1952–2017) and Jane Elizabeth Carter managed a retirement home.
He has three sisters: his twin Angel, a model; Bobbie Jean (BJ); and Leslie. He was the younger brother of Nick Carter, who was a Backstreet Boys member (1986–2012).
The family hailed from Jamestown, New York, originally. In 2004, his parents got divorced. One hour before the MTV Cribs episode Carter was filming, he learned of the divorce.
Carter went to Frank D. Miles Elementary School and Florida’s Ruskin School.
Carter started performing at 7, following the foundation of his brother Nick’s band, the Backstreet Boys.
At 9, he published his self-titled first album, selling one million copies worldwide. Three million copies of his second album Aaron’s Party (Come Get It) (2000), were sold in the United States.

Career Debut
1997–1999: Beginnings In Music And Self-Titled Debut Album
When the band’s members first met at a rock school in Tampa, they created Dead End, where Carter served as the band’s lead singer.
The pop singer left the band after two years because the other members were more interested in alternative rock, and he wanted to play pop songs.
Carter debuted as a solo performer at 9, opening for the Backstreet Boys in Berlin in March 1997, performing a copy of The Jets’ “Crush on You.” The performance led to a record deal, and in the fall of 1997, he released his debut song, “Crush on You.” On December 1, 1997, Carter’s self-titled debut studio album was available. The album, released in the US on June 16, 1998, was certified gold in Norway, Spain, Denmark, Canada, and Germany.
2000–2001: Oh Aaron, Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), And Acting Debut
In early 2000, Carter started working on his second studio album, Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), which went on sale on September 26, 2000. Carter co-wrote many of the tracks, reflecting on his childhood and teenage years.
The album debuted at number 41 on the Billboard 200 and was eventually certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA. The first single, “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It),” was released on July 11, 2000, and peaked at number 41 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The second single, “I Want Candy,” was released on November 21, 2000, and peaked at number 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The album also featured the single “Oh Aaron,” for which a music video was filmed but not released commercially.
The song peaked at number 84 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 2001.
In March 2001, Carter made his acting debut, guest-starring on an episode of the Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire.
The following month, his sister Leslie died of a drug overdose. In the summer of 2001, Carter began touring with Britney Spears and opened for her on selected dates of her Dream Within a Dream Tour.
2002–2008: Another Earthquake, House of Carters, And Saturday Night
In 2002 the musician released his last studio album in over 15 years, Another Earthquake! , followed by his 2003 Most Requested Hits collection.

The album peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 200.

Personal Life
At 18, Carter made his engagement to former beauty queen and Playboy model Kari Ann Peniche. He proposed to her on stage while playing at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
As a teenager, Carter dated several high-profile celebrities, including Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan.
After six days, Carter called off the wedding, claiming he proposed impulsively. He started seeing Madison Parker in 2016, and their relationship ended in August 2017.
On August 5, 2017, Carter came out as bisexual on Twitter. On December 18 of the same year, he made a guest appearance on the podcast LGBTQ&A to talk about his work and sexuality.

Aaron Carter’s Complicated Relationship With Brother Backstreet Boys Nick Carter
Early in their careers, the brothers had a close relationship, but things started to change as they got older. In 2005, Nick filed for bankruptcy and went through a public meltdown.
Meanwhile, Aaron’s career was on the decline. In 2007, he was arrested for DUI, damaging his reputation.
By 2010, the relationship between Nick and Aaron had become very strained. Nick blamed Aaron for stealing money from their joint business venture, while Aaron accused Nick of being a bad influence on him.

Death
On November 5, 2022, it was revealed that Aaron died at his home in Lancaster, California.
At around 11 am PST, Los Angeles County police arrived at the scene after receiving a report of a man drowning in his bathtub.
An autopsy was conducted. However, the toxicology report was consulted before determining the cause of death.
A drug overdose caused Aaron carter’s death. He had been taking many prescription medications for anxiety and sleep disorders and painkillers for injuries he had sustained in a car accident.
